The first of many - I hope

Hello everyone,

Being new to this blogging business I'm hoping my readers will bear with me if I waffle on.  I'm the aspiring writer Janet S. Green but I'm also the mother of twenty something twin girls who have autistic spectrum disorder then in 2011 we added a madcap dog to our family.  While this is often a challenge it also gives me lots of material for tale telling.

There are lots of those situations which are hard to cope with at the time but usually have a funny side on reflection.  For years I entertained friends and colleagues with verbal accounts of these trials before one of them encouraged me to put pen to paper; or finger to keyboard in this case.

I've now been writing for about four years, in-between my day job and have had a little success.  Two of my short stories have been published in The People's Friend magazine along with a couple of articles and another article in The Lancashire Magazine.  I've had a few letters published in various publications some of them for a small fee and others for free.

In 2013 a friend and I started a small business which organizes art and craft groups with a view to selling items produced by our members.  This was primarily, on my part, to provide occupation and interest for my daughters.  Further information is available on the Arty Crafters Blog and website Artycrafters.moonfruit.com.

This has been short and sweet because my eyelids are drooping and my brain is following suit.
